Day Trip to James Whitcomb Riley Boyhood Home – Greenfield, Indiana

Take a step back in time and witness some Hoosier history at the boyhood home of Indiana’s most famous poet, James Whitcomb Riley. Take a guided tour of the home and feel the inspiration that led Riley to write his most famous poems, Little Orphant Annie and The Raggedy Man. After the tour, enjoy a country pancake breakfast for lunch, while revving your own imaginations for an introductory poetry class taught by Hoosier author, Chadwick Gillenwater—better known as Professor Watermelon. 

Transportation, lunch, and entry included in course fee.
Bus leaves from Ivy Tech Main Campus (200 Daniels Way) at 9 AM and will return around 5 PM.
